R. Stuart (Tookie) Angus

Director Since: September 2009 & Chairman

Mr. R. Stuart “Tookie” Angus is an independent business advisor to the mining industry. He was formerly Head of the Global Mining Group for Fasken Martineau. For the past 30 years, Mr. Angus has focused on structuring and financing significant international exploration, development and mining ventures. More recently, he was Managing Director of Mergers & Acquisitions for Endeavour Financial. Mr. Angus is the former Chairman of the Board of BC Sugar Refinery Limited, he was a Director of First Quantum Minerals until June 2005, a Director of Canico Resources Corporation until its takeover by CVRD in 2005, a Director of Bema Gold until its takeover by Kinross Gold in 2007, a Director of Ventana Gold until it’s takeover by AUX Canada Acquisition in 2011 and a Director of Plutonic Power until its merger with Magma Energy in 2011.

Robert D. Willis, B.Sc., P.Eng

Director Since: July 2009 & CEO

Mr. Willis graduated in 1973 from the University of British Columbia with a Bachelor of Science degree in Geology. He has worked in the mineral resources industry for more than 30 years.

As a founder of Geologix, Mr. Willis has acted as a Director, President, and Chairman of Geologix prior to his retirement from the Board in June of 2009. Mr. Willis also founded Manhattan Minerals Corp. and acted as President and CEO of Manhattan from 1990 to 1998 and a Director for that firm from 1990 to 2001. Under his direction, Manhattan explored many gold and silver projects in Mexico. Most notably, it explored and later placed into production the Moris gold and silver mine, a 2,200-ton-per-day open-pit heap-leach operation.

Prior to Mr. Willis’ involvement with Manhattan, he was founder, President and CEO of Pioneer Metals Corp. He was responsible for the acquisition and startup of the Stibnite gold and silver mine in Idaho, an open-pit heap-leach operation. Also under his direction, Pioneer joint ventured the Premier gold project in B.C. with Westmin Resources, which subsequently put the project into production. In the 1970s, Mr. Willis held engineering and production positions with Rio Algom and Teck Corp. at the Lornex, Afton and Highmont open-pit copper mines.

William H. Myckatyn

Director Since: July 2009

Mr. Myckatyn is a Mining Engineer with over 30 years of technical and management experience in mine financing, development and operations. Mr. Myckatyn was a co-founder of Quadra Mining in 2002 and served as Chief Executive Officer until 2006. He served as Chairman and subsequently Vice-Chairman of QuadraFNX until its takeover in 2012.

He was Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of Dayton Mining Corporation (1998 to 2002) and Princeton Mining Corporation (1997-1998). Mr. Myckatyn worked for Gibraltar Mines Limited from 1991 to 1996, initially as Mine Manager and ultimately as President and CEO as the company transitioned from being controlled by Placer Dome Inc. into an independent growth oriented public company and its eventual acquisition by Westmin Resources in 1996. For over 10 years prior to that, Mr. Myckatyn worked for various operations controlled by Placer Dome Inc. and its associated and predecessor companies, including four separate mines in Australia and the Philippines.

Brian Lock

Director Since: July 2011

Mr. Lock has over 40 years of experience in the operations, feasibility, design engineering and construction of numerous precious and base metals mining projects around the world. In addition to being a director of San Marco, Mr. Lock is currently the Chairman of Castle Peak Mining Ltd. and is CEO and a Director of Scorpio Gold Corporation. During his career he held senior positions with a major international mining consortium and two major engineering companies. In 1985 he founded Proton International Engineering Corp., a Canadian engineering and construction company devoted to the development of small- and medium-sized mining projects. He has also managed and served as a director of several Canadian public and private companies. He was an officer of Frontier Pacific Mining Corporation since early 2006 until it was taken over by Eldorado Gold in 2008.

Craig B. Prenter, CGA, CPA

Director Since: March 2011

Mr. Prenter is a Partner at Manning Elliott, Accountants & Business Advisors. Mr. Prenter was admitted as a member of the Certified General Accountants Association of British Columbia in 1996. Mr. Prenter joined NTA, Chartered Accountants in 1992 and was admitted as a Principal in 2007. Mr. Prenter’s practice areas include individual, corporate, estate and trust taxation, succession and tax planning, and general business advisory practices. He has completed the CICA In-Depth Tax Course and is a member of the Canadian Tax Foundation.

Andrew B. Carstensen, P. Geo.

Director Since: December 2013

Mr. Andrew B. Carstensen is a professional geologist who has over 35 years experience in mineral exploration within both major mining and junior exploration sectors.

Mr. Carstensen is currently the Vice President, Exploration for Anfield Gold Corp and is technical advisor to a private copper-silver exploration venture in Poland.

Prior to these current positions, Mr. Carstensen has a long history with the founding members of San Marco Resources with senior management roles at Geologix Exploration and Manhattan Minerals. His responsibilities included the oversight of all exploration work with the company’s project portfolio, namely precious-metal and VMS deposits in the Americas; Mexico, Peru and Nevada - as well as generative work to identify and acquire additional assets.

Earlier in his career, Mr. Carstensen held geological positions with Western Gold Exploration, Noranda and Newmont Exploration. His reconnaissance work in designing and implementing exploration programs resulted in numerous prospect acquisitions, some of which were the subject of advanced exploration and discovery.

Mr. Carstensen holds BA and MS degrees in Geology from the University of Montana and is a Certified Professional Geologist with AIPG.
